Commission a kit

Orgelkids organ kit also for purchase

Our Orgelkids project has received many requests “Can I buy an organ kit?” Of course we keep our own organs to be loaned out to local organists and organ teachers, executing educational projects. But the good news is that you can buy your own kit now! We found a good partner in Verschueren Organ Builders who can build commissioned organ kits for a very attractive price. If you’d like to order for one, please let us know with the form below.

Small series

In small series of about four commissioned organ kits are made by Verschueren Orgelbouw from Ittervoort at a very attractive price. A new series is started when another order is received. The delivery time may therefore vary somewhat. If you are interested in purchasing your own Orgelkids organ kit, please register with the form below and we will put you in touch with the right person. You will then receive a quote from Verschueren and make further agreements about delivery and payment directly with the organ builder.

About the design

The organ kit design is by Wim Janssen, a retired organ builder who worked for many years with organ builder Verschueren. He designed the organ so well that children can assemble it without much instruction. The organs are completely handcrafted with beautiful materials that you find in a large pipe organ: such as oak wood for the frame and the pipes, and sheep leather for the bellows. The so-called “voicing” and tuning of the pipes is a specialty of the builder. Wim Janssen has ensured that each pipe produces the right tone, so you can actually play a melody. The Orgelkids organ has a range of 2 octaves, from c’d’-c”’ (without cis’). Pitch a’= 440 Hz. It has two stops of wooden pipes: open (4″) and stopped (8″). The organ is supplied with wind by means of two manually operated bellows.

Packaging

With more than 70 Orgelkids organs around the world, we have ample experience with packaging. The best guarantee for safe transport and durable use of the organ is a set of two boxes with special recesses for each part. The organ is thus packaged shock-resistant and it is always immediately possible to see whether the organ is complete. In addition, the organ is divided over two boxes easier to carry.

Our special Pelican Air case is the most safe packaging of your organ kit.

Pricing

A complete Do-organ comes with the set of two special designed transport boxes. The total price for an Orgelkids organ kit with two transport boxes is € 8,750 in 2024 (excluding VAT and transport costs).
